PLASA Advisory Groups
PLASA actively involves volunteers from the membership to work as part of advisory groups to help develop the association's strategic and operational plans. The groups meet between two and four times per year usually worked alongside other regional meeting schedules.
The groups are as follows -
Responsible for the development of programs and services for the European film and digital community within PLASA.
Recognizes excellence in the industry and within the Association.
Business Peer Group Oversight Committee
Provides oversight for the Business Peer Group Advisory Program.
Business Resource Group
Defines and clarifies business practices, provides information and educational opportunities to enable members to more effectively manage their businesses.
Provides oversight and governance for the Entertainment Technician Certification Program.
Enforces the Code of Conduct and resolves complaints.
Events Advisory Group
Reviews and advises on the strategies for developing the profile, reach and value of PLASA's range of exhibitions and events.
Develops future generations of PLASA leaders by encouraging younger members to contribute new ideas, energy and enthusiasm to the association.
Membership Development Group
Aims to make membership irresistible and automatically renewable.
National Rigging Advisory Group
Acts as a representative body for the entertainment rigging industry in the UK.
Delivers a slate of candidates for election to the Board of Directors. The group is appointed annually by the Chairs of the PLASA Regional Boards.
Responsible for the development of programs and services for the North American film and digital community within PLASA.
Technical Standards Council
Provides oversight and governance for the Technical Standards Program.
