Categories & Application Form
Anyone who works within the architectural, entertainment, event, leisure, broadcast, conference and installation industries - in whatever capacity - can join PLASA.
To be eligible for membership, companies and individuals are expected to conduct their businesses ethically at all times and to demonstrate integrity, professional conduct and fair practice when dealing with others.

Business, Educational & Affiliate
Membership of PLASA means a commitment to the highest possible standards, therefore all Business, Educational and Affiliate Company Members must be able to demonstrate the following:
- Financial viability
- Good payment and client service record
- Full insurance cover
- Products and services fully compliant with current legislation
- Ethical approach to business
- Health & Safety Policies and Procedures
- Employment Contracts for all full-time personnel
- Equal Opportunities Policy
- Staff Development Commitment

Individual
Individual Members must be able to demonstrate the following:
- Financial viability
- Good payment and client service record
- Full Insurance Cover
- Products and services fully compliant with current legislation
- Ethical approach to business
We offer four categories of membership:
- Business Membership
Business Membership is open to all companies who manufacture, distribute, install, hire or sell audio, AV, lighting, staging, rigging or the technical services or expertise associated with these products, together with venues and performance spaces. To be a Business Member, companies must have a connection with the technologies.
Business Membership is the only category where companies can nominate a representative for a place on the Executive Committee and the only class of membership that can vote on official PLASA business.
Business Members have the choice of two membership packages:
Premier at £645 per year (£53.75 per month)
Standard at £390 per year (£32.50 per month)
In addition to the yearly fee, every applicant is also asked to pay a one-off joining fee to cover the verification procedures. For Business Members, this is £75.00.
*Group membership is available for this category: there is a 25% discount for 2 companies/brands joining from the same group and a 50% discount for 3 or more companies/brands joining from the same group.
The Membership Fee is charged on an annual basis, unless direct debit instalments are arranged, and all fees quoted are plus VAT.
- Educational Membership
Educational Membership is open to both educational establishments that provide courses and qualifications linked to the industry and to students on relevant courses. When an educational provider joins, all students registered on its relevant courses will automatically be given student membership.
Educational Membership costs £260 per year (£21.67 per month)
Student Membership is free
There is no verification fee for Educational Members.
The Membership Fee is charged on an annual basis, unless direct debit instalments are arranged, and all fees quoted are plus VAT.
- Individual Membership
Individual Membership is for freelancers and consultants who work with, specify or provide services linked to the technologies. To be eligible for this class of membership, individuals cannot be employees of a company nor employ anyone full-time.
Individual Membership costs £125 per year (£10.42 per month)
In addition to the yearly fee, individual applicants are also asked to pay a one-off joining fee of £25.00 to cover the verification procedures.
The Membership Fee is charged on an annual basis, unless direct debit instalments are arranged, and all fees quoted are plus VAT.
- Affiliate Membership
This category is designed for companies and individuals offering support services to the industry, including business-to-business service providers, PR companies, publishers and trade show organisers.
Corporate Affiliate Membership costs £390 per year (£32.50 per month)
Individual Affiliate Membership costs £125 per year (£10.42 per month)
In addition to the yearly fee, every applicant is also asked to pay a one-off joining fee to cover the verification procedures. For Corporate Affiliate Members, this is £75.00 and for Individual Affiliate Members, the fee is £25.00.
