Audio and AV NVQs reach key stage
PLASA's development work on the new NVQs for those working in the installation sector has taken another key step forward with the appointment of EAL as the official awarding body.
EAL, a recognised awarding body in the field of engineering and electrotechnical skills, will now work closely with PLASA, SummitSkills and the PA/VA advisory group to further develop the NVQ Qualifications which are intended to ensure that those who operate in the installation and construction sectors have a recognised framework through which they can demonstrate their skills, safe practice and professionalism.
The PA/VA technical working group is currently reviewing the evidence requirements for the two NVQs - Installing and Maintaining Audio Systems and Installing and Maintaining Audio Visual Systems.
