4 September 2012

On Monday 10 and Tuesday 11 September 2012 the 3rd Annual PLASA Rigging Conference opens its doors.

Over 150 delegates from the global rigging community are expected this year to experience everything the 3rd annual PLASA Rigging Conference has to offer.

This year's keynote speech will be delivered by the legendary 'Disney' rigger, Roy Bickel who will be sharing his experiences of rigging over the last fifty years and his involvement in the development of modern rigging equipment and practices in, what promises to be, a thoroughly entertaining and informative hour.

The conference confirms its status as the only international, annual meeting of its size solely dedicated to all things rigging: this year's seminars are packed with thirty speakers and panellists from around the globe covering all aspects of the challenges and issues facing the rigging professional. The accumulated expertise and experience of the contributors make this an un-missable event for anyone connected to the rigging industry.

To close the Conference on Tuesday 11 September, Alan Jacobi, Managing Director of Unusual Rigging, will host 'Question Time'. This offers all delegates an opportunity to debate, discuss, agree or refute any of the ideas or concerns that have been raised during the Conference.

This is a must-attend event for any rigging professional who wants to have a say in how the profession develops and expands.

Full conference programme and speaker details can be found at:

As a precursor to the Conference, The Riggers' Forum takes place on the afternoon of Sunday 9 September. Aimed at freelance riggers, this is an informal opportunity to meet experts in the industry and discuss the issues and challenges that face riggers today.
