PLASA BS 8901 Sustainable Business Management Courses
For those interested in gaining an understanding of sustainable business practices, PLASA is working in partnership with SEG to provide a series of one-day courses designed to provide members with a working knowledge of the concept of sustainability, the updated version of BS 8901 and their relation to event management.
Members attending the new Understanding BS 8901:2009 seminars will gain an understanding of key sustainability and environmental management concepts, such as issue identification and evaluation, legal requirements, designing stakeholder engagement programmes and setting objectives and targets.
The one-day seminars will be of interest to members who plan or deliver live events or who are intending to tender for 2012 Olympic contracts.
After attending the course, members will understand the importance/benefits of a management system to improve the sustainability of events, and also have a clear idea of where the standard fits into the 2012 Olympic strategy.
PLASA Members can attend for the special rate of £261 (normal price £290).
To register to attend e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org or call +44 (0)1323 524125. Further details can be found on the website below.
