PLASA Focus Orlando hailed a resounding success attracting record attendees

The second edition of PLASA Focus Orlando, the regional event for the live entertainment technology industry, has been branded a resounding success by both visitors and exhibitors alike.

Attracting record numbers of attendees, the popular event offered unique networking opportunities and hosted many over-sold education sessions presented by top industry speakers including Richard Pilbrow - lighting designer, theatre design consultant and author and Jim Hutchison, Customer Engagement and Education Manager for CHAUVET Professional.

Taking place on February 17-18 at the Rosen Plaza Hotel, PLASA Focus Orlando proved to be a vibrant networking hub for 64 live entertainment technology brands and more than 840 attendees. "This has been by far the best PLASA Focus event so far," said Geoffrey Platt, Product Training Specialist at TMB. "We had steady, quality visitors each day."

"Part of the ongoing strategy for PLASA Focus shows in the US is for us to host two annual traveling exhibitions with topical education content to increase business opportunities within regional markets," says PLASA's Director of Events, Christopher Toulmin. "The unique benefit of these shows is that not only do smaller brands get the opportunity to have a similar exposure to the larger brands due to the limit on booth size, but also it encourages networking with regional members of the live entertainment technology industry who wouldn't necessarily attend the international shows,' he adds.

PLASA Focus shows are renowned for their friendly, social atmosphere with great seminar content and are extremely well received within the market place, as highlighted by ETC's Tom Littrell: "The booth was busy. The sessions were packed. It was a great show!" Attendee Dave Guiler of Premier Entertainment Group said: "PLASA Focus has allowed our growing company to experience new products and learn new techniques with lighting and sound. PLASA Focus is an absolute necessity for anyone in the industry! Price is great too!"

The next US-based PLASA Focus will be the inaugural event in Kansas City on May 20-21, 2015, at Kansas City Convention Center. PLASA Members, Focus Series exhibitors, and regional dealers all benefit from substantial discounts on exhibition space. All events and seminars are free for visitors to attend - free registration will open soon at
