The PLASA Carbon Reduction Commitment recognises and highlights members who are actively working to measure, reduce, and manage their carbon emissions. By signing the commitment, organisations commit to understanding their environmental impact and aligning their operations with the global path to Net Zero. Together, we are fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the entertainment technology industry — demonstrating that positive change is both achievable and essential. The badge is a symbol of recognition for our members’ commitment.
Taking part in the PLASA Carbon Reduction Commitment is simple and designed to support you wherever you are on your sustainability journey. Each phase has three sets of criteria outlined below. By participating, you’re not only demonstrating your commitment to reducing emissions, but also contributing to a wider industry movement towards Net Zero. You can find out which phase of the commitment you are currently at by completing the survey below.
1. Commitment & Communication
Commit to the Carbon Reduction Commitment, name a sustainability contact, assess your current position, and set a realistic target that’s published in your carbon reduction plan. Use your voice to promote sustainability across your stakeholder groups.
2. Operations & Output
Your team is trained in sustainability and understand their responsibilities. Your output, whether manufacturing or live events, are created with low emissions considered.
3. Measurement & Reporting
You annually share your carbon footprint reporting through your annually updated carbon reduction plan. You share best practice and challenges of your experiences with stakeholders.
