
PLASA Sustainability Survey Report – November 2025
The PLASA Sustainability Survey results summarise the findings of an online survey examining awareness, attitudes and actions relating to sustainability and carbon reduction within the entertainment and events technology sector.
Conducted by PLASA in October and November 2025, with independent analysis by Purple Market Research, the survey gathered responses from 105 industry professionals, including both PLASA members and non-members, representing a broad mix of organisation types and sizes.

Conducted by PLASA in May and June 2024, with analysis by Purple Market Research, the survey gathered responses from 250 industry professionals, including freelancers, company owners, senior directors, and other staff.

Survey on key business issues in the entertainment and event technology industry
We summarise key findings of an online survey among people working in the entertainment and events technology sector.
The survey was conducted by PLASA in May and June 2024, with analysis and charting by Purple Market Research.
In total, 158 people responded to the survey, a mix of freelancers (30%), company owners / senior directors (29%) and other staff (41%).

Sustainability in the live events and entertainment technology industry
PLASA and #WeMakeEvents conducted research into sustainability in the live events and entertainment technology industry and what action has been taken by companies to implement carbon reduction plans.
In total, there were 217 responses to the survey, of which 70 were PLASA members. Respondents were mainly based in the UK and comprised a cross-section of companies by type and size of organisation.

The live sector in 2022
This survey was carried out to collect data on how companies and individuals across live events, entertainment and installations are recovering from the pandemic and what challenges remain.
A sum total of 1,313 respondents from over 46 countries completed the survey between 26 October and 20 November 2022.

The position and future recovery of the live events sector in 2021
This survey was carried out to collect data on how Live Events companies and professionals continue to be impacted by Covid-19.
A sum total of 1,948 respondents from over 40 countries completed the survey between 1 November and 21 December 2021.
