Entry to the Scheme


The Level 2 assessment will take two consecutive days at an assessment centre. The Level 3 will require 1 day at an assessment Centre, followed by a one-day workplace-based assessment to assess supervisory skills only, which is directly observed by an assessor.

An existing NRC Level 2 card holder can register to take their Level 3 qualification if they have a minimum of 12 months proven experience of working within a supervisory capacity, from the time of gaining the Level 2 skills card. Supporting evidence of this experience will need to be provided.

Following registration the assessment Centre will contact you directly to confirm arrangements in relation to your assessment.

To Register:

  • Step 1
    Download and complete the registration form below.
  • Step 2
    Email the completed form to along with a passport style photo and your signature (these will be used on your Skills Card upon achievement).
  • Step 3
    You will receive a confirmation email and then within 10 working days you will receive your Candidate Pack, including the NRC Handbook, by post.

    Please note that an assessment group must consist of a minimum of 4, maximum of 6 candidates being assessed at the same level.
    The assessment centre may be able to provide some flexibility and accommodate a group booking, however this is not guaranteed and will have to be discussed with the centre.

In addition to our UK Assessment Centres we are now able to offer assessments in Malmo, Sweden, specifically for Riggers from Denmark, Finland, Norway and Sweden.
The qualification PLASA NRC (Nordic) is the same as that in the UK, although much of the documentation is available in both Swedish and English.
