A group of industry representatives will cycle 100 miles from Chippenham to London Olympia on Saturday 14 September to raise awareness of mental health within the entertainment and events industries.
Donations will go to Backup, the technical entertainment charity which helps industry members and their families get back on their feet during times of hardship.
Please visit the fundraiser page to donate.
Following on from the success of last year’s bike ride, the group are also looking for more avid cyclists to join them.
Last year’s team consisted of representatives from PLASA, PSA, Whitelight, Autograph, UK Rigging, Harman, SFL, Anthem Publishing and Real Marketing Services, each reporting a great sense of camaraderie throughout the journey. Together they raised over £1,600 and it is hoped that this year’s figure will be even higher.
PLASA’s MD Peter Heath comments: “The 100 mile bike ride has become somewhat of an annual tradition, raising awareness and money for a valued industry charity. With mental health remaining a prevalent issue, the money raised will be put towards tackling this in the industry. we are calling for more cyclists to sign up for the challenge and support this worthy cause.”
