PLASA is hosting an online Member Forum on Wednesday 29 July, bringing members together for three one-hour discussions on key issues currently affecting the entertainment technology industry.
Taking place across the day, the forum will offer practical insight, context and guidance on lithium batteries, sustainability and European regulations, and the Cyber Resilience Act. Members can register for any or all of the discussions most relevant to their work.
The day will begin at 10:00am with a Member Consultation and Conversation on lithium battery use in the events and entertainment technology industry. Led by Tommy Cockerham and Dr Bugryniec, the discussion will explore current issues from stakeholders and inform research to support future industry guidance. It is aimed at anyone who uses or supplies lithium batteries, including manufacturers, distributors, rental houses, venues, safety practitioners and end users.
At 1:00pm, Robert Trebus and Phoebe Currie will lead a sustainability-focused session covering the tools and support available to PLASA members, including the new PLASA Carbon Literacy Training and Carbon Reduction Commitment. The session will also explore European regulations affecting the industry and provide a run-down of sustainability seminars taking place at PLASA Show.
The final session of the day, taking place at 3:00pm, will focus on the Cyber Resilience Act. Led by Wayne Howell, this discussion will help members understand what the regulation means, why it matters for entertainment technology, and what businesses should start considering now.
