PLASA Members’ Area

Coronavirus actions

The Coronavirus COVID-19 has continued to escalate on a global scale, impacting businesses and individuals across our industry.

We all supply technology and services to events and installations around the world, and from the PLASA teams daily conversations with you, we know that the cancellations of concerts, events, exhibitions and conferences is being felt across the industry, as is the uncertainty and concern surrounding how the situation will develop.

Here are some of the things we have done so far:

  • Added official resources to our website, and will continue to do. View them here.
  • Sent a letter to the Department for Digital, Culture, Media & Sport and Department of Industry & Trade to ask for an urgent meeting to discuss the impact on our members and industry. (We will keep you informed with their response).
  • Given our support to our members in Italy and signed a campaign for our members in Italy requesting that their government help them.
  • LSi Online has been posting daily updates on the delayed Prolight + Sound and subsequent exhibitor cancellations.

PLASA’s Managing Governing Body and team have been acting on your behalf in government communications and providing resources to help you prepare. To continue this work, we need to fully understand the impact the situation is having on our industry, later this week we will be sending out a survey to collect responses – we urge all members to contribute.

Our position on our own events in Leeds and London remains the same, to continue and follow government guidelines.

Please feel free to contact us with any other information we could be sharing.
