IR35 resources
Following on from our event on IR35 in London on 30 January, we have released the full slides and audio recordings.
Nicky Gleadow, Managing Director of The HR Point presented two in-depth sessions on what IR35 is and how the upcoming changes may affect business owners and freelancers.
What is IR35?
IR35 is a piece of UK government legislation which aims to determine whether a worker is an employee or contractor, ensuring that the person carrying out the work is paid and protected in the proper manner and that both parties pay the relevant tax.
The changes to IR35, which begin on 6 April 2020, mean that all medium and large companies – in both the public and private sectors – will be responsible for deciding the employment status of their workers.
