The Cyber Resilience Act | PLASA Member Online Forum – Session #3 | 29.07.26
This session explored what the EU Cyber Resilience Act (CRA) means for businesses operating within the entertainment technology industry, including the key compliance timelines and potential impact on existing products and inventory.
The CRA will be fully enforced from 11 December 2027. Products that do not meet its requirements by this date will not be eligible for a CE mark and therefore cannot be sold within the EU.
Led by Wayne Howell, Managing Director of Singularity UK, the session provided PLASA members with a practical overview of the regulations and the steps manufacturers may need to take to prepare. Wayne also introduced the Sig-Net® lighting control protocol and explained how it can support manufacturers working towards CRA compliance.
Originally held as part of PLASA’s online Member Forum on 29 July 2026, it was the third of three discussions exploring key issues affecting the entertainment technology industry. The wider forum also covered lithium batteries and sustainability, offering practical insight into emerging responsibilities, risks and opportunities for businesses.
